Transportation Management Supervisor – Chinese Speaking

Job responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and establish contracts with reliable third-party logistics (3PL) companies.

• Negotiate transportation rates and service terms to meet the company’s budget and operational needs.

• Regularly assess the performance of transportation suppliers, provide improvement suggestions, or replace underperforming suppliers.

• Develop and optimize transportation plans between sorting warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Handle unexpected transportation issues to ensure uninterrupted delivery operations.

• Monitor transportation performance in terms of time, cost, and quality to meet company standards.

• Ensure transportation operations comply with Dutch and EU regulations (e.g., vehicle safety and freight permits).

Job requirements

• Familiarity with the Dutch 3PL market and existing relationships with local 3PL providers.

• Strong knowledge of market pricing and excellent negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to plan, allocate resources, and flexibly schedule vehicles to meet dynamic operational needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Strong coordination skills for both internal teams and external suppliers.

• Language requirements: Proficiency in Chinese and English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

• Possessing a Niwo certificate is an advantage.
